where each product was personally inspired, thoroughly tested, and is daily used in our own kitchen. Everything we offer is individually made in our family workshop by us. For this reason we can offer quality and confidence that every piece is durable, beautiful, and ready to prove useful in your kitchen.
For each product we carefully select the wood variety that is both beautiful and most suitable for the task and conditions it will undergo. The wood we use is obtained from local lumber mills using local trees. Made in the U.S.A. on the south shore of Lake Superior

"Carved for the Cook” is the home business of Isac and Adrienne Dymesich that started in the kitchen and ended up in the woodworking shop. Adrienne received a utensil similar to the “Most Useful Kitchen Utensil” as a bridal shower gift and, through endless meals made, putting it to use, it became her favorite. Well, accidents happened as fate would have it she burned it one day and had to throw it away. Isac her husband, who is a skilled carpenter, helped her make another and in time Adrienne was making them for gifts. Together they developed the distinctive pattern that is the “Most Useful Kitchen Utensil”.
What started in the kitchen has now become a thriving little business that has many time tested kitchen products to offer the public. Each item is the result of a specific need; or discontent with the standard utensils commonly available, they are time tested and thoroughly customer approved!
